I’d like you to meet my friend and new Yoga Bird instructor, Sami Lynn! Sami’s first class, Restorative Yoga, is now online and accessible to subscribers. This restorative class brings you nourishing poses designed to restore and revitalize your body and mind. Restorative yoga is a method using props and long hold times to open the body in a more passive way. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body. This class is FOR EVERYONE and will be especially helpful to those who are recovering from an injury or are just plain, burned-out. Gather your props and escape to your mat, for a profitable 25 minute restorative class.
I love that Sami is a strong, smart woman and a super interesting person. Sami is a marine biologist and teaches scuba diving in addition to her yoga! Who does that?! 🙂 #beyourownbird
Here’s a little introduction from Sami, about herself. Read it and then go take her class, you’ll be glad you did!
“My name is Sami, I am a 24 year old Lancaster County, PA native. Yoga first came into my life while I was working as a spin class instructor, at the University of Rhode Island. I was immediately hooked on the flow and movement of yoga and began to teach that as well. I continued teaching yoga after graduating with a degree in marine biology. Yoga got me through many ups and downs in my life, over the past few years. My marine biology undergrad work consisted of traveling for coral research as well as assisting scientific diving courses for the university. I now work at Lancaster Labs as an associate scientist and teach scuba diving in my free time. I wanted to offer you this Restorative Yoga class because it is so beneficial to me. It really helps me to de-stress and relax after a long day in the lab or after an extensive day of diving.
Some other interests of mine include: leading a life group at my church, underwater photography, reading a good spy novel, chasing fireflies, buying fuzzy socks, and drinking coffee. So. Much. Coffee.
Hope you will join me soon for Restoration Yoga!”
