Restorative Poses

Child’s Pose lengthens and stretches the spine. Gently stretches the hips, thighs and ankles. Helps to alleviate stress and anxiety by releasing tension in the back, neck and shoulders. Encourages strong and steady breathing.
Relaxation Pose or Corpse Pose brings calmness to the brain and relieves stress and mild depression. Relaxes the body. Reduces headache, fatigue and insomnia. Helps to lower blood pressure.

Mountain Pose is the most basic pose and is therefore the foundation for all others. Promotes stillness, strength, relaxed power and the immovable stability associated with mountains. Strengthens quads, buttocks, abs and feet.

Crocodile Pose lengthens the spine gently, relaxes the body and calms the mind. Therapeutic for high blood pressure and fatigue.
